Disaster Relief

Disaster Relief

A disaster can strike anywhere, anytime and change a life in a mere second.  When a disaster strikes and you need help, “they” come.   Serving those whose lives  have been disrupted is the very act that Jesus commended in the parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37).  Jesus ministered to people He met each day.  The miracles he performed were answers to the needs of those with whom He had contact.  There were times that He ministered to the masses, but most of his miracles were performed for individuals with specific needs.

With the complex world we live in today, with such great needs all around us, it would be easy to just throw up our hands and give up because we do not know  where to start.  We can start by coming together and giving to this great cause.  The resources that are needed in times of disaster do not come cheap.  That  being said, you can rest assured that every dollar you or your church sends to the Nelle Johnson offering will go to that specific need and purpose.  For we want to give a     hand-up and not just a hand out!  Individuals are won to the saving grace of Jesus Christ one person at a time.
