Troy Smith has worked at Interstate Baptist for over twenty-eight years. Originally from Mississippi, he moved to the Northwest in 1978 as a church planter. With a passion for addiction recovery, Troy also founded SAFE Ministries, a ministry whose sole purpose is setting addicts free eternally. Carrying this passion over in writing, Troy has also authored several books including The Transformation Principle: Journey to Freedom. He also pastors Peace and Purpose Fellowship
